Saturday February 22nd, 2020 at Ecole Secondaire Catholique Renaissance on Bloomington Road near Bathurst Street, Many families were in attendance to watch their budding basketball players compete against each other for the championship for the district. Great participation by Council 13094 Oak Ridges. Below is our District Deputy Gino with Rob Reid (knight volunteer) for the event. Winners from this round go to the Ontario Regionals.
Thank you to the Knights of Columbus from Oak Ridges Council for organizing and representing the Knights in this important program. Special mention to Advocate Br. Anthony Viresi - Chairman for the Ontario State Basketball free throw program and to the organizing brothers Sean Reutas and Deputy Grand Knight Glenn Peters. Lastly, thanks to the past grand knights, John Pickett, Ernest Stuart and Ernie Polsoni for their help. It was a wonderful. event appreciated by the kids and their parents.
